You can receive expert advice and a repair service for your PCs, tablets, phones etc. open in the West Studios Gallery Shop between 9:00-12:00 every week.
This is a Chesterfield College student run digital company, lead by tutor Piers Ching, who has taken the lead on the 2018 relaunch as a great way to offer an expert service at a discounted rate.

Young artist of the year - part of chesterfield college's arts festival

You have the chance to be crowned the Derbyshire Young Artist of the Year in your chosen category and have your work exhibited throughout our 2018 Arts Festival. Closing date is the 1 June 2018.

Key Information:

Arts Festival Dates: 18th – 29th June Venue: Chesterfield College Main Campus, Infirmary Road, Chesterfield + West Studios, Sheffield Road, Chesterfield

Young Artists of the Year exhibition 8th - 29th June. West Studios, Sheffield Road, Chesterfield.

Competition Categories:

Photography, Visual Arts (painting, illustration, collage), 3D Art (sculpture)

Age Group Categories:

Years 4-6, Years 7-9, Years 10-13

All entries must be accompanied with full name, school name, year of study, address, contact telephone number and email as well as a brief description and title of work.

Judging will take place on 5 June 2018 and finalists will be announced that day. Winners will be announced at the opening of their works being exhibited on 7 June 2018 at Chesterfield College/West Studios.

Studios works with Chesterfield College
Art and Design department to offer students
opportunities in developing, running and taking
part within their own exhibitions and creative
events, to add to the value and purpose of the
students chosen courses.

Calendar of Opportunities for 17/18 students:

30th November - 20th December : Contemporary exhibition of a collection of students work. Starting with Open Evening on Thursday 30th November

12th and 13th May : Open Studios and opening of Young Contemporaries 2018.
Full exhibition running until 2nd June.

Throughout the year, work experience job roles and projects are available for students to apply for set by profressional businesses and companies based in Derbyshire. For your work experience opportunities to be advertised to Chesterfield College students please contact us!

June marks the beginning of Chesterfield College's Art's Festival and end of year exhibition. Tours are offered to school groups throughout the month. Get in touch to book yours.
